"People Will Protest Anyway!"

Today, 8 am, the coordinator of the civil campaign European Belarus Maksim Viniarski was detained.

The activist of European Belarus Leanid Kulakou told this to Charter97.org today.

"Maksim Viniarski and his sister went out to take their dog for a walk. Four police officers suddenly rushed to them from different directions, two of them were in the civilian while two others wore the uniform.

They claimed that the dog was without a muzzle and on a short leash. They took him away without any reason. It seems, today he will be tried in the Maskouski district court for the fact that the puppy was without a muzzle. Now, they arrest opposition leaders and activists before October 21. But I have a feeling that people will protest anyway against impoverishment and levies and demanding decent salaries," – Leanid Kulakou is sure.
