Barysau Intends to Demand Resignation of Minister Raukou

People are angry with lawlessness in the Belarusian army.

Today, October 12, the Barysau District Executive Committee has registered an application for a picket in the central square of the city, ex-press.by informs.

The applicant, human rights activist and lawyer Aleh Matskevich names the demand for the resignation of the Defense Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant-General A. A. Raukou, and bringing to justice all those guilty of death of soldier Aliaksandr Korzhych the objective of the action.

The applicant believes that the picket should be held in front of the North-West Operational Command (Revolution Avenue, 44) building.

The place will take into account the requirements set out in Part 3 of Art. 9 of the Law "On Mass Events in the Republic of Belarus".

Aleh Matskevich plans that on Monday, October 30 up to ten people will take part in the picket that should last from 12.00 to 16.00.

The Barysau District Executive Committee is obliged to make a decision on the application no later than October 25.
