Barysau Workers’ Salaries Cut Three Times After Ministers' Visit

The Hydraulic Amplifier plant does not have enough money to pay off its employees.

As several employees of the JSC Barysau Hydraulic Amplifier plant have reported to ex-press.by, the size of the advance on the July salary, which is to be paid according to the Collective Agreement before August 15, has been reduced threefold.

Instead of the usual 120 rubles ($ 60) factory workers got only 40 ($ 20) each. The news is not from the category of joyful.

Let's remind, that following Lukashenka's decree last year, the enterprise that is part of the holding company Avtokomponenty, which until recently was headed by football manager Anatol Kapski, received budgetary support of up to 11.9 million US dollars. The money were sent to "stabilize the financial situation" the Hydraulic Amplifier plant.

However, the stabilization failed. According to state television, at the time of the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers in Barysau on July 25, the JSC Barysau Hydraulic Amplifier plant had arrears in paying for electricity.

The ministers visited the Hydraulic Amplifier plant before the meeting. And as the industry's first deputy minister Henadz Svidzerski told journalists, the ministers approved an investment project for a production of a new power steering for trucks.

They promised to allocate funds, 34 million dollars, from the investment funds of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee and the Ministry of Industry.

In the meantime, the plant does not have enough money to pay wages to its employees.
