A team of builders from Slonim, who had not been paid their salaries for several months, joined the independent trade union.

On November 13, the Pershamaiski district court of Minsk, chaired by Yauhen Naurodski, began to consider the case of the construction team (16 people) from Slonim against StilStandartStroy LLC, writes praca-by.info.

The interests of the builders are represented by legal inspector of the REP Trade Union Yury Beliakou.

The company did not pay the employees their wages for July and partly for August this year. And with four builders, the organization did not sign any contracts at all, although it transferred money to their cards.

In early October, builders asked for legal assistance from the REP Trade Union.

Each claimant requires to recover from StilStandartStroy LLC about 4 thousand rubles. The position of the defendant, voiced by a lawyer, is as follows: for all workers who have a contract, the company owes a little money for August; as for the remaining four builders who worked under "honest word", the organization does not owe anything.

In court, the plaintiffs explained that since March 2018 they had been working in the Asipovichy district at the object of the JSC Gazprom Transgaz Belarus; Gazprom’s subsidiary settled with StilStandartStroy, but the director refused to pay the workers.

The builders worked 9-11 hours a day, because until the end of the work the company paid well for their labor: 11 rubles 70 kapeykas per hour.

In court, it turned out that the object on which the work was carried out was enclosed with a 3-meter fence; security guards let the construction workers in — no one could get to the object. The work was supervised by two foremen, who kept track of the time spent with laptops - by June, the equipment had suddenly crashed. But the builders managed to photograph the timesheet from the laptop with their phones.

The court requested a number of documents: contracts or subcontracts that StilStandartStroy LLC entered into with JSC Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, documents on the basis of which the money was transferred to the workers, with whom no contract agreement was concluded. The judge asked the plaintiffs to print photos taken by the builders from the foremen’s laptops. And he asked the mobile operators for printouts of the location of the builders' phones in June-August 2018.

“We are sure that the victory will be for the workers,” commented Yury Beliakou.
