Photo Fact: Flood Washes Away Barricades In Minsk City Center

The rain goes on.

The collapse caused by bad weather conditions in Minsk and all over Belarus goes on as well: fallen trees and billboards, torn-off roofs and floods. We can easily state that the eternally flooded Niamiha Street now has a fellow in misery: the Revaliutsyjnaya Street has been flooded up to the knee level for the second day in a row, kp.by writes.

On Monday, July 16, the rain water penetrated even the premises, the water almost reached the knee level in the salons and bars. As meteorologists predicted the same showers on July 17, the owners of various facilities began building barricades of sacks with sand, waterproof streamers and even cast-iron garbage bins.

– They turned off the water supply in the Revaliutsyjnaya Street for the whole day, and did something in the manholes. Nothing helped, unfortunately, – eye-witnesses say.

The safe-made barricades didn't save everyone though. After the shower there was a flood in the Revaliutsyjnaya Street, and the brigades of the Ministry of Emergency Situations pumped out the water from the street, just like yesterday. The rainy weather is expected to preserve on Wednesday, July 18.

People outrage in the social networks: the authorities recently repaired this street, having spent Bn 2,3 million from the city budget. Apparently, not for drainings and discharge outlets.
