The leading Russian media gave its assessment to the action held by the Belarusian patriots.

In the Belarusian town Kobryn, activists glued a poster on the walls of the military-historical museum named after Alexander Suvorov. The poster depicts Suvorov as pa vampire, with the inscription claiming the commander was an executioner. The Russian media outlet Lenta.ru wrote about this action.

''His troops took away the Bellalrusians' freedom. The residents of Kobryn were personal slaves of Alelxander Suvorov,'' — the authors of the poster believe. Apart from that, they say that praising an executioner is al disgrace.

One of the authors of the picture told Charter97.org that ''the aim of the action was to show the true face if the ''great generalissimus'' and his sinister role in the history of Belarus.''

The museum is located in the building which was constructed in 1790 and was passed into the property of the Russian commander after he had suppressed the uprising of Tadeusz Kasciuszka in 1794.
