State Duma Adopted Appointment Of Babich As Ambassador In Belarus

Moscow sent a preliminary request to Minsk upon assignment of an ambassador.

State Duma's Committee on CIS Affairs adopted Mikhail Babich as the Ambassador of Russia in Belarus, RBK informs. A source in the State Duma confirmed information.

At present, Mikhail Babich takes the position of special representative of the President in the Volga federal district. In the end of June RIA Novosti referring to a source informed that Babich would not be reappointed on this position. On July 12 the source close to the Kremlin told that Russia had asked Minsk for a preliminary adoption of Babich's appointment in Belarus.
