Issues Of BelNPP Costs Are Already Making Lukashenka Hysterical

The station isn't finished yet, but it's ruining Belarus.

Studio X97 investigation film "Astravets of Death" reveals unknown facts and explode factoids of the authorities about the BelNPP.

The authors of the film begin by debunking a "small" but very important lie - the real cost of the plant.

Is the electricity from nuclear power plants more profitable and cheaper? This is an absolute myth! Not only that the nuclear electricity poses a deadly threat every second, it is also madly expensive. For example, the construction of the nuclear power plant in neighboring Visaginas in Lithuania was frozen precisely because the people of Lithuania said "no" in a referendum when they learned that they would have to pay more for electricity.

"You will pay at least 12 U.S. cents per kilowatt of energy per meter at best," said physicist engineer, expert of the Belarusian anti-nuclear campaign Andrei Ozharovsky.

Taking into account the current Belarusian tariffs, it's at least 2.5 - 3 times more than now. That's what "economy" and "frugality" are all about. In addition, Belarus once again falls into the trap of dependence on the eastern neighbor: for, Lukashenka will have to buy uranium from Russia.

"And if you remember the first such explanation, given by Aliaksandr...... to manage all this," - Andrei Ozharovsky says.

The station in Astravets is being built by the Russian state corporation Rosatom on Russian money. Lukashenka borrowed a record $10 billion from Putin for that! Who and how will give them back?

In order to build a nuclear power plant into the country's energy system, it needs to be radically renovated, and billions of dollars are needed for that. Besides, it is absolutely not clear where to go with the excess electricity? Neighboring Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and even Russia have already stated that they will not buy Belarusian electricity. All these questions are already causing the Belarusian dictator's hysteria.

"Hundreds of scientists and thousands of specialists work in the system of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Construction and Architecture. And I still haven't heard anybody report on how the plant will be built into the economy of the country," - the dictator confessed once.
