Belarusians In Vilnius Prepare Protest Against Belnpp

The protest will take place on June 1.

The Belarusian Culture Society in Lithuania is holding a protest against Astravets nuclear power plant in Vilnius on June 1. According to the organizers, they got permission for holding the protest from the city authorities.

The website of the Belarusian Culture Society in Lithuania says:

"We are against Astravets nuclear power plant. We do not want another Chernobyl 40 km from Vilnius. That's why we're going to take to the streets of Vilnius again. Our protest action will remind you what Chernobyl was like. Vilnius is not the dead city of Pripyat. Right?"
