Svetlahorsk Resident: Authorities Have Not Kept Any Promises

Svetlahorsk Resident: Authorities Have Not Kept Any Promises

The main problem of Svetlahorsk district is the white cellulose plant.

This is what people who come to pickets of the European Belarus civil campaign say.

Dzmitry Savich, taking part in the parliamentary campaign for Svetlahorsk electoral district № 46, holds daily meetings with voters in different locations of the district. People are outraged at ignoring their demands to close the bleached pulp mill. One of the residents of Yakimava Sloboda says that it is impossible to live in the village because of harmful emissions:

- The problem with the white pulp mill has not been solved for many years. It is harmful production, there is no change. They promise us everything - both Homel and Minsk - but nothing changes. Everything is very bad. They haven't fulfilled anything they promised, haven't done anything. Everyone here thinks so.

Dzmitry Savich invites residents of Svetlahorsk and Svetlahorsk district to the pickets of European Belarus.
