Tyrants Come and Go

Tyrants Come and Go
Leonid Nevzlin

About the winning people.

On 12 January 1948 the art director of the Jewish theatre, the chairman of the Jewish Antifascist Committee Solomon Mikhoels was killed in Minsk.

Many Jews of the USSR took this death to heart.

They loved Michoels: a bright, kind, simple and great man. Everyone treated him as a family member.

My grandparents gave me the feeling of the great tragedy of the Jewish people and my tragedy caused by Stalin's crimes.

Stalin killed this man to start his criminal five-year anti-Semitic marathon: the case of the EAC (Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee) and the case of killing doctors.

If the tyrant had not died in 1953, my people would have been subjected to another genocide, in the USSR - the country that defeated Nazism.

Those materials we have now not only revealed the criminal Stalinist regime but also demonstrate real heroism and the great will to live and the truth of the Jewish victims of Stalinism.

They also prove that tyrants come and go, and my people remain great, prosperous and free, ready to fight back against anti-Semites, Nazis, racists and other evil.

Immortal and winning people.
