MGLU students who went on strike are not going to stop.

Students of the Minsk State Linguistic University are summing up the first results of the boycott campaign. This is what they write in student chats and communities, the Basta telegram channel reports:

- We've raised a racket: firstly, we rose the issue, secondly, we were able to accumulate an active and interested audience around us, and thirdly, we were noticed by news portals, which attracted even more attention to the problem.

We believe that this is a small victory, but we are not going to stop there.

A week ago, the university management categorically denied the possibility of introducing distance learning, and now the community @mslu_by informs us that on March 20, the management already discussed it, and today, on March 23, they even held a meeting on this issue. This is great, we look forward to positive changes in the near future. But, as we said, it is not enough for us and we are not going to stop on the way to distance learning.

- One important piece of news is that many teachers are on our side. Someone allows not to visit the classes, someone teaches them online.

Also, the university administration is meeting us halfway. This is evidenced by the fact that students are unofficially allowed not to attend classes. Well, sail close to the wind, and understanding will be fully achieved.

Once again, we remind the headmasters of the groups: please do not respond to threats! They have no real force, and there will be no consequences. The purpose of our campaign is to show that we also have a voice and can change something with our own strength. In this case, the quarantine of the university and the introduction of distance learning.

The important thing is that quarantine does not mean cancellation of studies.
