Coronavirus Raging In Homel Region: Outbreaks At Plants, Schools, Among Healthcare Workers

The latest information regarding the new hotbeds of infection in the region.

New foci of the coronavirus have formed in the Homel region. Cases of infection were detected in the schools of Zhlobin and Kalinkavichy, the “Basta!” Telegram channel informs.

“In Zhlobin, at school #9, one of the 5th grade students has been established to have the coronavirus, the entire class is now on forced isolation, the rest of the students are attending classes,” writes a resident of Zhlobin.

“Homel plant of casting and normals. An outbreak of coronavirus is going on here, many employees are on sick leave with the confirmed COVID-19 and pneumonia,” the plant employee reports.

“Kalinkavichy, Homel region. Two second-graders at secondary school #7 have a confirmed COVID-19. The students of this class and teacher have been sent on self-isolation, the rest of the staff and children continue working and studying. A couple of days ago, the school was disinfected by the workers of a local sanitary epidemiological center,” the channel’s reader from Kalinkavichy writes.

“Homel region, Valasovichy agro-town. Four days ago they hospitalized a paramedic from the local paramedical and midwifery station, with the coronavirus. The other day they came to disinfect her house. Three more people were taken yesterday morning. The paramedic served four villages, there are elderly people almost everywhere there,” reports the channel’s subscriber.

“In the city of Mazyr, two students of the Polytechnic College have a confirmed coronavirus infection, the group is quarantined. The manager of the department also has a positive test for COVID-19, he is on artificial lungs ventilation. The college is operating normally,” the channel’s reader writes.

In the kindergarten # 1 in Dobrush, one of the teachers has a confirmed coronavirus infection. The kindergarten was closed, all children were tested. One child showed a positive result,” the channel’s subscriber reports.
