The patient's story of how the doctors said to each other that there was no way to save him.

Luninets district resident Mikalai Siadou has been discharged from the hospital and continues treatment at home. His wife Natallia, the first one from Luninets district with confirmed COVID-19, has recovered and started working.

Media Polesie journalists have asked the spouses about their attitude to the court decision to punish the site.

We remind that on April 4, the journalists received information from medics that the patient died in the Luninets hospital of pneumonia. Fortunately, the information was not confirmed and was quickly edited.

Media Polesie was brought to justice. The court of Luninets district punished the online media because the information allegedly "harmed the national interests of the Republic of Belarus" and "contributed to social tension in the society, created panic sentiment and led to misrepresentation of information among the population".

Natallia said that a nurse (surname is known) had told Mikalai's relatives that he had allegedly died.

Mikalai confirmed that he had heard doctors talking to each other in the intensive care unit that it would be impossible to save him.

- And I, thank God, got out of it. And as I say, since they wrote that I died, it means that I will live long. The one who doesn't work doesn't make mistakes. And you do a lot for people to know all about the disease and to protect themselves, - Mikalai noted. - And all the more I do not see how the information has affected the national security of the country.

The veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also stressed:

- It is a pity that you were treated so unfairly... It was up to me to decide whether to bring the site to justice. And I have neither hard feelings nor complaints against Media Polesie.

These are hard times for the family. There are sick relatives and it's obviously disappointing. "The main thing is to do everything in time and get to a good doctor," - Natallia said.

- A lot of people got sick in Luninets, - Natallia continued. - But attention was drawn to me because I was the first one. People thank me for speaking frankly about the disease. This was a lesson for a lot of people, and there came the understanding that the disease gives no quarter to anyone. I am in favor of not keeping the statistics secret, of publishing true figures.
