Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny was detained at Sheremetyevo airport on January 17. This was reported by Dozhd.

According to the TV channel Navalny had to leave with the police without his lawyer and wife Yulia.
Navalny's spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh said on her Twitter page that he was asked "to go somewhere to clarify the circumstances of crossing the state border."
