Lukashenka Regime Entends Ban On Ukrainians To Enter Belarus

There are exceptions though.

Belarus upheld the decision to ban Ukrainians from entering its territory. However, there are exceptions to the restrictions.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to the press-center of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

“According to an official message from the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus, the decision to temporarily suspend crossing the state border to enter the Republic of Belarus remains in force,” the note says.

However, the ban does not apply to the following categories of Ukrainian citizens:

Ukrainians with diplomatic or service passports;

heads or members of official delegations;

Ukrainians who provide international assistance to Belarus;

drivers of vehicles that carry out international transport or carry international postal items, as well as crew members of ships, train and locomotive crews;

Ukrainians who are spouses, parents or children of Belarusian citizens;

Ukrainians who have a work permit and documents that confirm this;

Ukrainians who are sent to visit a seriously ill person or to a relative's funeral;

Ukrainians who transport stem cells or organs for transplantation;

Ukrainians who travel in transit to the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

Citizens of Belarus, Ukrainians who are spouses, parents or children of Belarusians, as well as Ukrainians with the right of permanent residence in Belarus must go through mandatory self-isolation within 10 calendar days after crossing the border.

In early July, Lukashenka said that he had ordered the Belarusian border guards to completely close the border with Ukraine. He explained his decision by the alleged flow of weapons from Ukraine to Belarus.

Important to note, the State Border Service of Ukraine said that there are no signs of the border closure.
