Prosecutor's Office: Dobrush Citizen Committed Knife Attack Against Three Officials

They came to take away her children.

In Dobrush, Belarus, a 46-year-old woman was arrested. She threatened employees of the Prosecutor's Office and the District Executive Committee with a knife at her home. A criminal case was opened against her for violence against officials who performed official duties, the Prosecutor's Office reported.

In February, a Senior Assistant of the District Prosecutor, the Chief Specialist of the Education Department and the Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs of the Dobrush District Executive Committee came to the house of a resident of Dobrush. They checked the living conditions of her two children, recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation.

It was decided to take the children from the family, but, according to the Prosecutor's Office, the mother got aggressive and crazy. They called a police squad, and until the enforcers arrived, the Deputy Chairman "established psychological contact with the children" and took them out into the street.

At this time, the woman rushed to the kitchen, grabbed a large kitchen knife and began to wave it, threatening violence.

The woman from Dobrush was prosecuted under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code, she was taken into custody.
