Queues At Belarus-EU Border Increase Sharply

The passage is free only in one direction.

Before the weekend, there are again long queues at checkpoints on the border between Belarus and the EU countries. According to the State Border Committee, almost 400 cars and 35 buses are waiting to leave for Poland and Lithuania as of 08.00 a.m. of April 12.

On Friday morning, 225 cars and 35 buses were waiting at the Brest checkpoint. There were 160 cars at the Lithuanian direction: 100 - at "Kamenny Loh" and 60 - at "Beniakoni". There are no queues at the exit from Belarus to Latvia.

In addition, there were 2,405 trucks at the checkpoints: 815 - at "Hryharoushchyna" (Latvia), 810 - at "Kamenny Loh" and 780 - at "Beniakoni".
