WSJ: Iran May Attack Israel Within 24-48 Hours

However, there is one deterrent.

Iran is preparing to attack Israel, it may happen in the next 24-48 hours. But Tehran's plan of attack is not yet ready.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The publication, citing its own sources, notes that Israel is preparing for a direct attack by Iran in the south or north. This may happen in the next one or two days.

However, a person informed by Iran's leadership told the WSJ that so far plans for an attack are being discussed, a final decision has not yet been made.

Earlier this week, US intelligence reports indicated that an attack on Israeli assets by Iran or its associates could be imminent, but the publication's source notes that it now appears that an attack could be within Israel's borders.

A US official familiar with the matter said that US intelligence reports indicate a retaliatory strike by Iran within days, "possibly inside Israel."

On What Precedes It

We remind you that on April 1, as a result of a missile strike on the Syrian capital Damascus, the Iranian consulate building was completely destroyed. At least seven Iranians were killed, including two generals.

Iran blamed Israel for the attack and promised a "harsh" response. Israel in turn warned Iran that in case of an attack from its territory, the country would retaliate. Tel Aviv noted that the IDF is on high alert.

The media noted that Iran hinted to the US that Tehran would attack Israel in a "controlled" manner.
