Zelensky Agreed On Appointment Of Former NSDC Secretary Danilov As Ambassador Of Ukraine To Moldova
OLEKSIY DANILOV

Danilov has served as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council since 2019.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky agreed on the appointment of former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov to the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, the Ukrainian leader said in an address following the 765th day of the war.

Zelensky noted that Moldova is an extremely important state for Ukraine, given the security challenges and bilateral interaction between the countries.

On March 26, Oleksiy Danilov was fired from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, which he had held since 2019. This position was taken by the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lytvynenko. Zelensky, commenting on the reshuffle, said that he continues to “reboot the management system”, and Danilov is “transferred to another direction.”
